At Curry Truck & Auto Repair Centers, we’re all about keeping things moving — whether it’s your truck, your family’s minivan, or a paddleboard slicing through the Gulf at Sharkys. This year, we’re excited (and honestly, a little honored) to be sponsoring the Incredible 6 Paddle Race right here in Venice, FL.

If you haven’t heard of it, the Incredible 6 is a 6-mile ocean paddle from the Venice Pier to the South Jetty and back. It’s open to all human-powered vessels — paddleboards, kayaks, surfskis, canoes, rowing shells… you name it. All skill levels are welcome, which makes it a true community event. There’s even an afterparty at Sharky’s, because around here, we believe hard work deserves some fun after.

But here’s the real heart of it — this race supports Moms Incredible, a local nonprofit that empowers Venice and Sarasota mothers to find and maintain their identities. As a family-owned business that started in our house back in 2019 (yep, with kids running around while we took customer calls), this mission hits home for us. Between running our shops, raising our kids, and keeping the ranch going, we know firsthand how important it is for moms to have the tools, support, and encouragement to thrive as individuals.

We believe auto repair is about more than fixing vehicles. It’s about keeping people safe, making sure families can get where they need to go, and giving back to the community that’s trusted us with their cars and trucks. Sponsoring events like the Incredible 6 is one way we get to be part of something bigger than our service bays — helping fuel local causes, just like we fuel our customers’ journeys.

So on Saturday, August 23 at 7 AM, you’ll find us cheering on paddlers as they head out from the pier. We might be better with wrenches than paddles, but we’ll be there supporting every splash, stroke, and wave.
